Woman Critically Injured in Southwest Atlanta Shooting

Officers went to the intersection of Murphy Avenue and Osborne Street in southwest Atlanta at about 7:35 p.m. on November 3 after reports of gunfire. They found an adult woman with multiple gunshot wounds and called for an ambulance. Paramedics took her to a nearby hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.

Police found several shell casings scattered across the roadway. Detectives from the Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Unit took over the investigation, processing evidence and speaking with witnesses.

Police have not released the woman’s name or age, described any suspects, or stated what led to the shooting. The circumstances remain under investigation.
