Man Charged in Christina Downer’s Killing; Her Body Remains Missing
Los Angeles County prosecutors charged Delorean Bijon Brandon, 41, with murder in the disappearance of Christina Downer, 38. The complaint alleges the killing occurred around September 19, 2025. Downer, sister of former Saturday Night Live writer Jimmy Fowlie, has not been found.
Downer was reported missing on December 18, 2025, when her former husband asked authorities to check on her. Brandon had told police she moved out months earlier, leaving her belongings, car and dog behind. Detectives took over the investigation after her cellphone was found washed ashore at Santa Monica Beach.
Brandon was arrested in October 2026 alongside Kaylee Markowski, 34. Prosecutors charged Markowski with being an accessory after the fact, alleging she helped Brandon dispose of Downer’s body. Brandon also faces two felony charges related to allegedly injuring his wife in 2022. The complaint records past convictions for a 2008 robbery and attempted holdup, plus criminal threats in 2015.
Fowlie said in April 2026 that police had informed the family that Downer had died and the investigation had become a homicide case. Prosecutors said the defendants’ arraignment was postponed to December 29. If convicted of murder as charged, Brandon could face life in prison; Markowski faces up to three years in county jail if convicted.
