William and George Watch Aston Villa Face Barcelona

Prince William and his son Prince George watched Aston Villa’s Champions League match against Barcelona from the directors’ box at Camp Nou on November 3. The outing brought the pair together during George’s break from Eton College, where he began boarding in September.

Barcelona took an early lead when Lamine Yamal scored in the seventh minute after a Villa defensive mistake. Aston Villa lost the match, ending the evening without a win for William’s club.

The two wore dark casual clothes, with George sporting an Aston Villa jacket. Barcelona welcomed them in a message on X, calling it an honour to host the Prince of Wales and his son for the game.

William, 44, has followed Villa for many years and has travelled to watch the club play in Europe, including a match in Istanbul the previous week. He has said he chose the team because he wanted the unpredictable highs and lows of supporting a club rather than one that regularly won titles.

George, 13, is expected to return to school in the coming days. His mother, Kate, had said she was looking forward to having her children home for their school break.
