On October 28, 2026, California legal permanent resident Camilo Giles Jimenez pleaded not guilty in federal court in Fresno to charges that he voted in three elections while not a U.S. citizen. He was the first of more than three dozen California residents charged in a federal investigation into alleged election-law violations to appear in court.
