Runners Bring Excitement to New York City Marathon

The 2026 TCS NYC Marathon brought participants through all five New York City boroughs, with runners sharing their excitement about navigating the city streets among thousands of other participants.

The race offered a series of memorable moments, NYRR CEO Rob Simmelkjaer said during a television interview on November 2, the day after the marathon.

The event’s route through the five boroughs and the presence of a large field of runners were central to participants’ accounts of the experience.
