JSX Aircraft Comes to Rest on Lawn Following Touchdown at Dallas Love Field

A JSX aircraft traveling from Houston Hobby Airport veered onto a grassy area after touching down at Dallas Love Field on November 1. Dallas Fire-Rescue units were dispatched at about 2:52 p.m. for an airport emergency response. The plane’s landing gear remained intact, and officials reported no injuries.

JSX said all customers were safe and accounted for, and had left the airport. The airport said passengers affected by the incident were escorted off the aircraft. The cause was not released, and the incident remains under investigation.

Runway 13L was shut after the plane departed the paved surface. Airport officials said rescue and firefighting crews cleared the scene, and aviation personnel were inspecting the aircraft and preparing to remove it, subject to approval from federal aviation regulators and accident investigators. Flights continued to arrive and depart on Runway 13R. JSX said it was cooperating with authorities.

Reported by CBS Texas, FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth.
