Wu-Tang Clan to Headline Lions’ Thanksgiving Halftime Show
Wu-Tang Clan will headline the halftime show at the Detroit Lions’ Thanksgiving Day game against the Chicago Bears on November 26. The 87th annual Thanksgiving Day Classic is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET at Ford Field. CBS will televise the game, which will also stream on Paramount+.
Lions president and CEO Rich Haddad called the holiday game a major sports tradition and praised the group as a leading act in music. Eminem and his longtime manager, Paul Rosenberg, chose the act, and will oversee production of the program. It is the second year they have selected the halftime act.
Founded in New York during the early 1990s, Wu-Tang Clan has released eight albums as a group. Its 1993 debut, “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers),” helped establish the collective’s influence in hip-hop. The group is part of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s 2026 class and has been on its farewell tour, “Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber.”
The Lions have hosted a Thanksgiving game since 1934, with a break from 1939 through 1944. The scheduled matchup with Chicago is an NFC North game.
