Mbappé Leads Real Madrid to 3-0 Win at Racing Santander

Real Madrid defeated Racing Santander 3-0 on November 1, with Kylian Mbappé opening the scoring and playing a part in Jude Bellingham’s goal. The win kept Madrid third in the league, one point behind Atlético Madrid and three behind leaders Barcelona.

Mbappé won and converted an 11th-minute penalty. He celebrated by raising one finger toward a nearby camera, days after finishing second to Harry Kane in the Ballon d’Or voting.

Bellingham doubled Madrid’s lead midway through the first half. Arda Güler sent him into open space after Racing pressed high; Bellingham rounded goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala and scored. Yan Diomandé added a third with a powerful strike before halftime.

Racing had more chances after the break, but Madrid limited the hosts to one shot on target across the match. The teams’ expected-goal totals were 1.15 for Racing and 3.45 for Madrid. Madrid had 22 shots, seven on target, while Racing managed 10 shots and one on target.

The Spanish league observed a moment of silence before every match that weekend for victims of the country’s deadly train crash. Madrid’s next match involving Mbappé was scheduled for Tuesday, according to the report.
