Notre Dame rallies past Villanova in Rome season opener

Notre Dame overcame a second-half deficit to defeat Villanova 74-70 at Rome’s Palazzo dello Sport on November 1, opening the college basketball season with a win in the Eternal City Tip-Off. The 11,000-seat arena had a larger contingent of Villanova supporters, and both teams entered the game unranked in the preseason AP Top 25.
