Bears and Seahawks Set Injury Statuses for Monday Night

Chicago will be without running back Kyle Monangai for a fourth consecutive game when it faces Seattle on Monday night. The Bears ruled him out after he missed practice all week with thumb and turf toe injuries. He has 324 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 60 carries in four appearances this season, making him the team’s second-leading rusher.

Coach Ben Johnson said on October 16 that the team had not considered placing Monangai on injured reserve, which would require him to miss at least four games. Johnson described the injury as week to week and said Monangai was moving toward recovery. The Bears could have him back for their Week 9 game against Tampa Bay or wait until after their Week 10 bye.

Loveland, who had been listed with a neck injury, practiced fully on Saturday and has no game designation. He ranks third on Chicago with 244 receiving yards, along with 26 catches and two touchdowns. Cornerback Malik Muhammad and linebacker D’Marco Jackson are questionable; linebacker T.J. Edwards and safety Jack Sanborn have no designation after full practices.

Seattle’s final report lists Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price without game designations, indicating they are expected to be available. Byron Murphy and several other Seahawks also have no designation. Anthony Bradford, Drew Lock, Brandon Pili and Pat O’Connell are questionable, while Uchenna Nwosu is doubtful. Charles Cross, Velus Jones and Rashid Shaheed are out.

The 5-2 Bears are seeking a win over the reigning Super Bowl champion Seahawks, who are coming off a victory against Kansas City.
