Two People Hospitalized After Hialeah Apartment Shooting

Hialeah officers went to an apartment near 60th Street and West 22nd Avenue after a shooting on October 29. Two people were hospitalized. One was critically injured and taken by air ambulance to the trauma center at Jackson Memorial Hospital; fire rescue took the other to a hospital. The second person’s injuries were not described.

A woman at the complex said her husband had been shot inside their apartment and was expected to recover. Police spoke with two witnesses, though their connection to the investigation was not clear. One woman speaking with officers appeared visibly upset.

Police had not released information about the victims or what happened. Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers asked anyone with information to call 305-471-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a reward of up to $5,000.
