Netflix Renews Haunted Hotel for Season 3

The renewal comes as the series draws a sizeable audience. Its second season debuted on Netflix’s Global English TV Top 10 list, while the first season has accumulated more than 15 million views since its September 2025 release, Netflix said.

Created by Matt Roller, the adult animated comedy follows a single mother trying to run the world’s most haunted hotel, the Undervale, while raising two children. She gets help from her ghost brother and a demon trapped in a boy’s body, amid a growing cast of supernatural guests and mishaps.

Roller said he was excited to bring viewers back to the hotel, describing the upcoming stories as the biggest, funniest, scariest and saddest the team has told. He also promised what he called the “Abaddoniest” stories and ended his remarks with “Candles!”

Will Forte returns, joined by Eliza Coupe; Skyler Gisondo and Natalie Palamides also reprise roles, as does Jimmi Simpson. Roller has said the third-season scripts are written, and the creators are aiming for 10 episodes.

Roller executive produces with Chris McKenna, Dan Harmon and Steve Levy. Erica Hayes is supervising director, and Titmouse is the animation studio. Chris Prynoski shares producing duties with Shannon Prynoski; Antonio Canobbio and Ben Kalina are also among the executive producers.
