Three Contestants Leave Special Forces in One Episode
The October 29 episode of Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test ended with three celebrity recruits leaving the competition. Bre Tiesi chose to withdraw after Matt Barnes and David Charvet returned to camp injured and shaken from a jungle mission. The men had been sent back to collect debris, became lost and encountered quicksand before directing staff member Rudy Reyes rescued them.
Tiesi said the long wait for the men, without updates, left her increasingly upset. Seeing their condition made her decide the experience had become too much, particularly as she had a young son and other commitments. She left on day five.
Oliver Hudson withdrew the following day, after a team challenge failed under his leadership. He said the outcome weighed on him, but he wanted to leave on his own terms. Tiesi later said she was not surprised by his decision, describing the jungle experience as difficult for both of them.
Naumov, an Olympic figure skater, had been struggling to walk with a twisted ankle. After a medical examination, Reyes told him he would have to leave for medical reasons. Naumov said the decision hurt, but emphasized the importance of recovering from setbacks.
Seven celebrities remained in the competition, with two episodes left in the season. The show airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on Fox.
