Two TV Series Seek Philadelphia-Area Extras
The HBO crime drama Task is seeking adults who can pass for high school students to appear in a homecoming dance scene. The shoot is set for November 12 in Delaware County, though the specific location has not been disclosed. Applicants must arrange their own transportation, and both union and non-union performers may apply through Heery Loftus Casting.
Netflix’s The Four Seasons is looking for extras of all ages and ethnicities for work on November 30 and December 1. Applicants should send their contact details, photographs and measurements to Central Casting. Both productions are offering paid work, and professional acting experience is not required.
The casting calls follow recent filming of Task in Manayunk and Wissahickon Valley Park. The series’ first season introduced FBI agent Tom Brandis’ family, including his son Ethan, who was last seen incarcerated, and daughter Emily. The upcoming dance scene could involve characters from that family or from the family of a new character played by Mahershala Ali.
The Four Seasons ended its second season with married couple Danny and Claude deciding to move from Italy to Philadelphia to care for Danny’s mother. The new episodes may show their life in the city or bring their friends to visit. The series stars Tina Fey, a native of Upper Darby, and Colman Domingo, a West Philadelphia native.
