Indiana Seeks Offensive Rhythm Against Minnesota
Published October 29, 2026: No. 4 Indiana welcomes Minnesota to Bloomington on Saturday, October 31, for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff at Memorial Stadium. CBS will televise the game, and ESPN’s College GameDay will be in Bloomington from 9 a.m. to noon, ahead of the matchup.
Indiana enters at 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the Big Ten after edging Michigan 13-6 in overtime. The Hoosiers’ defense has kept them winning, but their offense has struggled in recent games. Quarterback Josh Hoover is a central focus as Indiana looks to regain its passing rhythm.
Minnesota is 5-3 overall and 3-1 in conference play. The Gophers arrive after a 13-10 rivalry victory over Iowa and have won their past four meetings with Indiana. Minnesota leads the all-time series 40-26-3; its most recent win in Bloomington came in 2021, by a 35-21 score.
The matchup features two defenses coming off low-scoring wins. Indiana will look to contain Minnesota’s ground game, while the Gophers need quarterback Drake Lindsey to avoid turnovers. He has thrown an interception in each of Minnesota’s past five games and has six in Big Ten play.
Indiana is favored by 20.5 points, with the over-under set at 41.5. A key question is whether the Hoosiers can turn their defensive strength into a more convincing performance on offense against a Minnesota team that has already beaten Iowa.
