Alabama Clears Three Players for LSU Game
The three players are available for Alabama’s matchup with LSU after missing time or leaving a game because of injury. The announcement came Friday, November 6, ahead of the teams’ Saturday meeting in Baton Rouge.
Coleman-Williams, a junior and permanent team captain, has 23 catches for 415 yards and four touchdowns in six appearances. He has also returned seven punts for 53 yards and gained 13 yards on two carries. He opened the season with 130 receiving yards on five receptions versus East Carolina; he is on the watch lists for the Biletnikoff and Maxwell awards.
Delgatty, a senior who transferred from Cal Poly, started Alabama’s first six games before missing matchups with Tennessee and Texas A&M. He played 77 snaps at center in the opener against East Carolina and 70 against Kentucky, and earned a place on the Rimington Trophy’s midseason watch roster.
Green, a senior transfer from Oregon, has made 11 tackles, with four stops behind the line and 2.5 sacks over six starts. He left the Georgia game shortly before halftime. In three seasons at Oregon, he played 25 games and posted 22 tackles, with three behind the line and one sack.
Alabama is 6-2 and sits fifth in the opening College Football Playoff poll; LSU is 6-2 and ranked No. 14. The Crimson Tide beat Texas A&M 31-20 on October 24, then had a bye week. After LSU, Alabama visits Vanderbilt next week.
