The End of Oak Street Arrives on HBO Max November 13

The End of Oak Street, a film about a suburban family thrust into a prehistoric setting, will be available globally on HBO Max starting November 13. HBO will also air it on November 14 at 8 p.m. ET. The movie opened in theaters on August 14 through Warner Bros. Pictures.

Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor play Denise and Greg Platt, whose family must cope with dinosaurs in their altered 1980s neighborhood. The story follows them as they try to stay alive, find their dog Starbuck and work out what happened to Oak Street. Their peril also puts pressure on the couple to address tension in their marriage.

Maisy Stella and Christian Convery also star, alongside Jordan Alexa Davis, P.J. Byrne and Chris Coy. Mitchell wrote and directed the film and shares producer credits with Tommy Harper, Matt Jackson, Jon Cohen, Hannah Minghella and J.J. Abrams.

The film earned $121 million in theaters, against a production budget estimated at $80 million to $92 million. It was Mitchell’s first feature since 2018’s Under the Silver Lake. Filming began this summer on a sequel to his horror film It Follows, announced in 2023.
