T&T Supermarket Opens First San Francisco Store
The store at the City Center shopping complex is T&T’s second Bay Area location, following its San Jose opening in June. The company has nearly 40 stores, mainly in Canada and Washington state, and is continuing its regional expansion.
The San Francisco shop features a live-seafood counter, bakery, prepared foods and a broad selection of Asian groceries. It also has the chain’s first U.S. T&T Cafe, serving drinks including black sesame and ube lattes. Some offerings, such as pork-filled “baby bear bao,” are specific to this location.
Tina Lee, T&T’s CEO, said the store followed her outreach to Mayor Daniel Lurie about using the long-vacant retail space. Lurie attended the ribbon-cutting. The company plans to open a store in Millbrae by summer 2027, followed shortly afterward by another at Newark’s NewPark Mall.
