Two Teen Boys Shot in Humboldt Park Alley

The boys were in a passageway behind 1400 North Fairfield Avenue, close to Hirsch Street, when gunfire struck them at about 3:04 a.m., Chicago police said. They were standing in the alley when they heard shots and realized they had been wounded.

The 15-year-old was shot in the abdomen and was in serious condition at Stroger Hospital of Cook County. The 17-year-old sustained a wound to his left hand and was in fair condition.

No one had been taken into custody as of the morning of November 5. Area 5 detectives were investigating.
