Indiana Hosts Bellarmine After Season-Opening Win
Indiana welcomes Bellarmine to Bloomington for a 6 p.m. game on November 5, with the matchup set to air on Peacock and NBC Sports Network. The programs meet in regular-season play for the first time. Indiana won all three of their exhibition games, including a 73-49 result in 2016, when OG Anunoby scored 26 points.
The Hoosiers began the 2026-27 season with a 91-57 victory over Eastern Illinois on Monday. Markus Burton led Indiana with 19 points and five assists, while the team received 40 points from its reserves. Indiana’s defense also shut out Eastern Illinois from the field during the final 9:44 of the first half.
Bellarmine lost its opener 93-47 at Vanderbilt. The Knights finished last season 13-19 and went 2-13 away from home; Indiana was 18-14 overall and 14-4 at home. The Hoosiers allowed 72.2 points per game last season. Bellarmine averaged 80 points per game while shooting 52.1% overall and 38.2% from three-point range.
The game offers Indiana a chance to build on its defensive performance and continue developing its supporting cast around Burton. John Fanta will call the action, with Greg McDermott as analyst. The IU Radio Network will also carry the game.
