Real Madrid and Liverpool Seek Fourth Champions League Wins

Real Madrid and Liverpool each enter their November 4 Champions League fixtures with three wins from three. Madrid visits AEK Athens, while Liverpool faces Fenerbahçe in Istanbul, as the league phase reaches its halfway point once the November 4 matches are complete. Both clubs are seeking to extend their records to four straight victories.

Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé has netted 15 times over 14 outings this season, with seven coming in his previous five games. He has found the net in all five of his most recent Champions League games. Jude Bellingham could become the youngest player to reach 60 appearances in the competition: he is 23 years and 128 days old, and would pass Iker Casillas, who reached that mark at 23 years and 167 days.

Liverpool heads to Turkey after losing 1-0 to Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday. Coach Andoni Iraola said he saw positives in the performance but identified the team’s work in the penalty area as an area to improve. Fenerbahçe has yet to win in the competition this season.

Other November 4 fixtures include Arsenal away to Slavia Prague and Manchester City visiting RB Leipzig. Borussia Dortmund hosts unbeaten Real Betis, while Porto, still without a point, welcomes Napoli. The day also features Lens against Como and PSV Eindhoven against Club Brugge.
