Flyers launch Liberty Bell-themed Independence Edition merchandise

The Flyers’ new Liberty Bell logo will appear on an Independence Edition merchandise collection, rather than replacing the team’s traditional crest on its Hometown Remix jerseys. The collection launches alongside the uniforms’ debut on November 3, as part of the team’s campaign tied to the United States’ 250th anniversary celebration.

The logo, previously teased by the team, features motion lines designed to echo the Flyers’ familiar flying P. The helmets also feature a compact decal near their rear. The jerseys themselves draw inspiration from the Liberty Bell while retaining the traditional crest.

The merchandise range includes hats, T-shirts and sweatshirts, with a Philadelphia wordmark set in a typeface inspired by the Declaration of Independence. Comcast Spectacor chief business and revenue officer Todd Glickman said the collection is intended to connect Philadelphia’s history with the Flyers’ identity and give fans ways to engage with the campaign.

The initial items are available through the Flyers’ online store and team shop. Additional collections are planned for the holiday season and spring.
