Statham and Ritchie Team Up for Netflix Film Dogfight

Netflix announced on November 3 that Jason Statham will star in Dogfight, a revenge action film set in London’s criminal underworld. Guy Ritchie will write, direct and produce the feature, which the streamer characterizes as a stylish action story. Further plot details have not been disclosed.

Filming is expected to start in early 2027 in the U.K. The production companies are Black Bear, the companies run by Ritchie and Statham, Toff Guy Films and Punch Palace Productions, respectively. Ritchie and Statham will produce with Ivan Atkinson and John Friedberg.

Dogfight will be the seventh film pairing for Ritchie and Statham. Their work together began with Ritchie’s 1998 debut, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and includes Snatch and Revolver, as well as Wrath of Man and Operation Fortune: Rose de Guerre.

The two also have another film together in the pipeline: Viva La Madness, an action thriller based on J.J. Connolly’s novel. Filming on that project wrapped earlier this year. Black Bear is handling North American distribution, while Amazon MGM Studios holds rights in most international markets.
