Heat Open West Coast Trip Against Doncic and Lakers

Miami, 2-4 and 11th in the Eastern Conference, faces the Lakers in Los Angeles at 10 p.m. EST. Los Angeles is 5-2 and fourth in the West after beating the Raptors 131-125. The Lakers are listed as 2.5-point favorites, with the over-under at 238.5.

The matchup starts a five-game trip for the Heat, who will also play the Clippers, Warriors, Kings and Jazz. Miami has scored at least 125 points in each of its last two games and averages 28.8 assists, third in the league. The trip will include two Los Angeles games and a meeting with Golden State, where Klay Thompson is set to face his former team as a Heat player.

Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said containing Doncic will require an approach tailored to his ability to read defensive schemes. The Heat will also have to manage the demands of a five-game trip that includes a back-to-back. The team is scheduled to begin a homestand on November 13 against Cleveland in an NBA Cup game.

Lakers players Adou Thiero and Ziaire Williams are listed out; Williams has a foot injury. Miami’s Tim Hardaway Jr. is day to day for personal reasons.
