15-Year-Old Wounded in Halloween Night Vacaville Shooting

Officers were called to the area shortly before 10:30 p.m. on October 31. They found the teenager wounded by gunfire in the roadway outside a home and provided medical aid before he was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital in critical condition. By the morning of November 1, the teen’s health had improved to stable, and survival was anticipated, police said.

Preliminary information indicates the shooting came after a dispute among people assembled at a home in the vicinity. Police described the incident as isolated. The person or people suspected of the shooting remained at large, and detectives were investigating.
