Tom Brady Swears During Fox Pregame Quiz

Brady was taking part in a quarterback statistics quiz with Drew Brees on Fox NFL Sunday when host Curt Menefee asked which quarterback had logged more 300-yard passing performances than all but two players in NFL history. After Brees gave the answer, Brady blurted out a curse, then seemed to realize he was on live television and widened his eyes in embarrassment.

Menefee acknowledged the slip and said the show would let Brady get away with it. Michael Strahan and Terry Bradshaw laughed, while Howie Long tried to keep his composure. Strahan pointed out that the program was live, and Menefee joked that Brady was still learning.

The November 1 moment echoed an earlier incident in September, when Brady used the same profanity while reacting to a replay of Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels injuring his elbow during a game against Dallas. During a broadcast that month, Brady called one of Dak Prescott’s throws to CeeDee Lamb an “absolute piss missile.”

Brady later said he was embarrassed by his language and joked that the swear jar at home was filling up, adding that his children were enjoying the situation. He also apologized to viewers who might have been offended.

Brady called the Vikings-Lions game on November 1 alongside Kevin Burkhardt. He is scheduled to return to Foxborough on November 8 to call Patriots-Packers.
