Two Shot Near Phoenix House Party; Several People Detained

Phoenix police responded to reports of gunfire near 15th Avenue and Fillmore Street at about 3:30 a.m. on October 31. Officers arrived as people were leaving a party in the area and found multiple bullet strikes at a nearby home. Several people were detained, police said.

At roughly that point, a man reached a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound that was life-threatening. Police later learned that a second person had also been shot and suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

The shooting remains under investigation. Police have not released details about what led to the gunfire or whether any of the detained people remain in custody.
