Waleses Share Halloween Photo of Prince Louis as a Toddler

The Prince and Princess of Wales marked Halloween on October 31 by posting a photograph of their youngest child as a toddler. Louis, now eight, is shown in a blue raincoat and red boots, bending toward a large pumpkin in a garden. Kate took the picture, the couple said in the caption, which wished people a happy Halloween.

The post was the couple’s first public social media acknowledgment of the holiday. Fans responded warmly in the comments, including one who called Louis a “precious little pumpkin.”

William and Kate have previously been seen taking their children trick-or-treating, but the family generally celebrates away from public attention. The couple have said they want to give George, Charlotte and Louis a relatively normal home life.

The new image is the latest glimpse of Louis shared by his parents. In April, they marked his eighth birthday with a portrait and video footage of him playing at the beach. He has also appeared with his family at public events, including the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this summer.
