Seahawks Open Jadarian Price’s Return Window

Seattle has designated Jadarian Price to return from injured reserve, allowing the rookie running back to resume practice as he recovers from a chest injury suffered in Week 3. The Seahawks have 21 days to decide whether to activate him. Coach Mike Macdonald said playing against Chicago on Monday night is realistic, though returning to practice does not guarantee Price will play that game.

Price had 119 rushing yards on 28 carries and caught four passes for 21 yards in three games before his injury. He did not score a touchdown. His return would add another option to a Seattle backfield that has leaned on Emanuel Wilson and George Holani while Price and Zach Charbonnet were unavailable.

Charbonnet, who is recovering from a torn ACL, is also nearing a return. With both backs potentially coming back, Wilson’s recent workload of more than 20 carries per game is unlikely to continue. Price and Charbonnet could divide work with the other backs, though how Seattle uses them remains to be seen.

Price was the 32nd pick in the 2026 NFL Draft after playing at Notre Dame. His return could bolster Seattle’s rushing attack, but it also leaves the team with several backs competing for opportunities. His availability for Monday’s game remains a possibility rather than a certainty.
