Melania Trump’s LSU Visit Brings Game-Day Security Changes

Published November 6, 2026. First Lady Melania Trump is scheduled to attend Louisiana State University’s game against Alabama at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge on November 7. Her visit will include an announcement that an LSU Foundation supporter is giving $5 million to create an endowed scholarship through her Fostering the Future initiative.

The university’s athletics department has alerted ticket holders to security and navigation changes because of the visit and Secret Service operations. Fans were advised to allow extra time for parking, moving around campus and reaching their seats. Campus closures and security arrangements could change during the day at the Secret Service’s discretion.

LSU third-year student Wynter Allen will receive a $10,000 award through the program and be recognized alongside Trump at the stadium. Allen said he was excited to meet her and thank her for the impact she had made on his life.

The game is a major SEC matchup between two teams with 6-2 records. LSU is ranked No. 15 and Alabama No. 9 in the latest AP poll. The Tigers have won their past two games against Mississippi State and Auburn after an overtime loss to Kentucky.

President Donald Trump is not scheduled to attend. The couple attended January’s College Football Playoff title game side by side, while the president attended Tennessee’s game against Texas in September. He canceled a planned visit to Alabama’s game against Georgia last month because of Hurricane Isaias.
