Five-Star Receiver Brysen Wright Commits to Miami
Miami has secured a commitment from Brysen Wright, one of the leading prospects in the 2028 football class. The Jacksonville receiver announced his choice on November 5, keeping his college career in Florida and giving the Hurricanes a prominent addition to their recruiting class.
The 247Sports Composite ranks Wright third nationally, first among wide receivers and first in Florida for the 2028 class. Miami offered him a scholarship in 2023, before Florida and Texas joined the pursuit. Wright has played three varsity seasons at Mandarin.
In 10 games during the latest regular season, Wright recorded 46 catches for 984 yards and 11 touchdowns, along with 92 rushing yards and a score. He had 646 receiving yards and eight touchdowns as a freshman. Listed at 6-foot-3½ and 215 pounds, he is known for competing for difficult catches and gaining ground after receptions; quickness in creating separation is an area for improvement.
Wright’s latest season included a 171-yard, two-touchdown performance against St. Augustine on October 30. Mandarin won that game 32-31 in overtime, reaching the playoffs with a 9-1 record and six straight victories. Wright’s next focus is the postseason with the Mustangs.
