Hilary Duff Recalls Food Prank Against Friend’s Ex

Duff said the prank happened during her late teens, before she had children. She and her friend had been drinking when they decided to target the man, whom Duff said had treated her friend badly. The pair bought inexpensive canned wieners and tuna, mixed them together and left the food on his lawn.

The singer described the episode as a particularly mischievous night, while making clear it took place long ago. She said she is not much of a night-out person now, though she still enjoys drinking with a friend.

Duff did not identify either the friend or the man. Her recollection came in an interview published November 5.

Duff recently toured Australia, playing to full venues across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane. At a Sydney concert, she thanked fans for their welcome and said they had helped her album reach number one in Australia.
