Wisconsin Hosts Delaware After Both Teams Open With Wins

Wisconsin and Delaware meet in Madison on November 6, after each team won its season opener. The Badgers beat Denver 75-68, while Delaware routed Notre Dame of Maryland 105-44. It will be the first meeting between the programs.

Wisconsin led Denver by 17 before allowing the margin to shrink. Foul trouble disrupted the Badgers’ rotation, while defensive lapses and missed free throws helped keep Denver in the game. Coach Greg Gard said the team had not played to its expected standard and would keep working toward it.

New guard Eian Elmer led Wisconsin with 18 points, contributing five boards, three dimes and a pair of steals. Owen Foxwell, a freshman directing the offense, recorded 14 points and seven assists, while Braeden Carrington had 15 points. Wisconsin scored 46 points in the paint, compared with Denver’s 18.

Delaware shot 59.2% from the field and 46.4% from three-point range in its opener, while recording 28 assists on 42 made baskets. Chuck Bailey III scored 22 points in the win. The Blue Hens went 10-21 last season; Wisconsin finished 24-11 and was 15-2 at home.

The game is scheduled for November 6 and will stream on BTN+. No television broadcast is listed. Radio coverage will be available on the Badger Radio Network, SiriusXM channel 268 and The Varsity Network.
