Missouri Forces Four Turnovers in 34-10 Win Over Arkansas
Missouri turned four Arkansas turnovers into 24 points and beat the Razorbacks 34-10 in Fayetteville on October 31. The Tigers improved to 6-2 overall and 3-2 in Southeastern Conference play, while Arkansas fell to 3-5.
The teams were separated by six points at halftime, with Missouri ahead 13-7. The Tigers’ first touchdown came when Darris Smith recovered a botched Arkansas fourth-down snap in the end zone. Blake Craig added field goals from 31 and 53 yards. Arkansas scored on KJ Jackson’s short rushing touchdown late in the first half.
Missouri widened the gap in the third quarter. Austin Simmons connected with Donovan Olugbode for a touchdown, then Jamal Roberts scored on a two-yard run after a fumble recovery by linebacker Nicholas Rodriguez. Simmons later threw a fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Roberts, setting the final score.
Simmons completed 20 of 31 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns. Roberts rushed for 138 yards on 23 carries and added 20 receiving yards. Missouri also intercepted Jackson and recovered two Arkansas fumbles, in addition to Smith’s end-zone recovery. The Razorbacks managed just 59 rushing yards.
Ahmad Hardy returned after missing the first seven games while recovering from a leg gunshot wound sustained in May. The All-American running back had two carries for five yards. Missouri next hosts No. 11 Texas on November 7; Arkansas visits Auburn.
