Woman Accused of Stealing More Than $13,000 at Dadeland Mall
Investigators accuse Bourouis, of Cutler Bay, of taking merchandise from two Dadeland Mall retailers in separate episodes. She faces a third-degree grand theft charge and a retail theft charge involving goods worth more than $750.
At Victoria’s Secret, Bourouis allegedly put items into bags and left without paying at about 2:50 p.m. Deputies found her near the Saks Fifth Avenue entrance with several bags, and the store identified her as the suspect. The merchandise, valued at $12,176.50, was recovered.
Earlier that day, surveillance video at Aeropostale allegedly showed Bourouis entering a fitting room with clothing and a beige bag. She later bought a pair of pants for $23.17, then went back into the fitting room carrying additional goods and a red Target bag. Investigators say she left with both bags without paying for the other items.
The unpaid Aeropostale merchandise was valued at $1,199.82 and was returned to the store. Bourouis was detained at the Turner Guilford Knight jail facility, with bond set at $5,000.
